A snowstorm came in Lexington town in Kentucky in 1964. Dr. David is helping his wife to give a birth. The woman does not understand what is happening around her, because of anesthesia.
She gave birth to twins: a boy, and a girl. The boy is healthy, but the girl carries all signs of Down syndrome. Dr. David decided to get rid of the baby.
He gives her to a nurse. And so Caroline brings the child into her home. David says his wife when she regained consciousness, that the girl did not survive. His decision and lies will affect his life to the end of his days.
This book does not let you sleep until the very last page. The characters development is excellent. The Memory Keeper’s Daughter is the tale about how a one-second decision can change the course of your entire life.
