Weekly WordPress News: Updated Theme Tags, donation of WP.org, CDNs, Speed & More

There are New and updated theme Tags now available to WordPress.org theme authors. The theme review theme has finalized it’s plan for changing the tags in the directory. After the overhaul the tags will be reevaluated on a yearly base.

Nice gesture from Syed Balkhi: he has donated the domain WP.org to The WordPress Foundation. Kudos to Syed.

I found an interesting article on plugins in the plugin repository versus having your plugin in Github.
