Supercell, the developer of popular tower defense strategy game “Clash of Clans,” will reportedly release a patch for its top-rated game in March. It is also set to launch its new multiplayer game “Clash Royale” worldwide at about the same time.
The new “Clash of Clans” update is said to introduce a new Dark Elixir-based troop akin to the Hog Riders, Minions, Witches, and Lava Hounds. Rumors have it that the new troop can be unlocked when the Town Hall reaches Level 10.
Meanwhile, “Clash Royale,” Supercell’s latest offering, was soft launched via the Google Play Store on Tuesday, Feb. 16. According to the International Business Times, the new real-time multiplayer video game was initially made available in Canada, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Hong Kong, and New Zealand, and will be rolled out to the rest of the world and for iOs devices in March.
At the moment, those who are not in any of these select countries can pre-register for the game on Google Play. Despite its limited release, “Clash Royale” has already been rated more than 33,000 times and boasts a 4.7 average user rating.
According to its Google Play page, “Clash Royale” will have players collecting and upgrading cards featuring “Clash of Clans” troops, defenses, and spells, as well as Royales such as Knights, Princes, and Baby Dragons. To defeat opponents and win Crowns and Trophies, players must knock the rival King and Princesses out of their towers. Players can form Clans to share cards and create their own battle community.
“Clash Royale” also allows players to:
- Duel players from around the world in real-time and take their Trophies
- Earn chests to unlock rewards, collect powerful new cards, and upgrade existing ones
- Destroy opponent’s towers and win Crowns to earn epic Crown chests
- Construct your ultimate Battle Deck to defeat your opponents
- Progress through multiple Arenas all the way to the top
- Challenge your Clanmates and friends to a private duel
- Learn different battle tactics by watching the best duels on TV Royale
