Imagine a plane full of golden retrievers…
A group from Ontario, Canada, are flying stray Golden Retrievers from Turkey and pairing them with new homes in Canada.
The idea came when Golden Rescue volunteer Viive Tamm travelled to Istanbul, Turkey, after hearing about the alarming number of stray dogs there.
After meeting hundreds of stray retrievers, a partnership was created between the Ontario-based operation and rescue shelters in Istanbul.
Since December 2015, Golden Rescue have brought 22 dogs into Canada and plan to bring 16-to-20 dogs per month.
