But GOLDEN SON is Book II of The Red Rising Trilogy. After the main character of the novel Darrow leaves the institution dreaming of taking his career in Augustus’s house, the true trial begins. The game is serious now. There are a lot of groups around Darrow, and each of them fighting each other trying to be the most powerful. Suddenly Augustus is not a friend anymore. He wants to use Darrow to gain more power, Even Jackal, the son of Augustus tries to use Darrow.
The Sons of Ares has plans for Darrow too. The Bellona relatives as the Governorship tries to kill the main character. The Sovereign family decides to affect his life. Even Darrow’s closest friends cannot be reliable. His true family beliefs that he is killed long ago. Darrow does not know what to do and what to think. Maybe he must be committed to the dream of his dead wife. But maybe she fought and was die for the wrong cause?
In the Book II of The Red Rising Trilogy Darrow must determine his own future. He received some useful skills in Academy for Golds and will try to use them in the real world. There are lot themes in the Golden Son novel, but central of them is: “It is not about our Color; it is about our hearts”.
The story ends with the serious cliff-hanger. So try to read the next and last novel of the Red Rising Trilogy, famous for its great plotting and not one-dimensional villains.
