Since the release of its last update, Clash of Clans’s next update release is expected to include a new troop and a huge feature. This is according to hints from Supercell and social media posts. As the company created a large thread about the global launch of the title’s spin-off, Clash Royale, next month, they have also spilled some beans about the older game as well, particularly in a recent post on the Clash of Clans Facebook page.
“We’re indeed working on a new troop, but it won’t be Musketeer from ‘Clash Royale,’” a section of the posts states. “We’re working on the next update, and we also have cool plans for the next big feature.”
As diehard fans of the game, we know that this is not the first time that we heard Supercell adding a new troop. But at the end of January, it has been confirmed by a prevalent international YouTuber that the developers Supercell had been planning to introduce one that could change the game for the existing experience. This word was backed up by development insiders, promising the same thing.
It is also hinted that this new troop would improve the Town Hall 10 performance as well. Commenting about this speculation, a representative if the game said, “We’re currently looking at TH10. It’s next in line as the first TH level that doesn’t have its own DE troop.” Many believe that it is not just a coincidence that the game’s developer dropped these few teases within hours of each other, but it is still impossible to confirm anything yet.
While some fans may have feared that developments for Clash of Clans would be put in the back seat in favor of Clash Royale, this progress update suggests otherwise. After all, it is not that long since the Treasury patch was released to address the loot problems with Town Hall 11. All we know as of yet is that there are still no specifics announced with regards to release dates, though it is rumored that something would be available before April.
With this update, and some old tips and tricks, we can rest assured that we can enjoy more from this popular game.
A Little Glimpse Into Clash Royale
Players of Clash of Clans will not have a difficult time transitioning to Clash Royale because, basically, it has the same mechanics and characters from the older title, such as giants and goblins. The only difference is, players will be defending towers instead of villages. You can still build clans, where members can participate in friendly duels using Clash of Clans troops, defenses and spells, as well as share cards.
Also, this spin-off allows players from around the world to duel in real time, winning crowns and trophies. As you can see, the game features head-to-head battle between two monarchs, and the royales include princes, princesses, knights, baby dragons, etc. Similar to Clash of Clans, the new game is also free to play on mobile with in-app purchases, which you can choose to turn off in your device’s settings.
