'Clash Of Clans' Treasury Update Slammed For Not Storing Enough Loot After Town Hall 11 Issues

Clash Of Clans Town Hall 11

“Clash Of Clans” was recently outfitted with a Treasury update to address Town Hall 11 concerns, but not everyone is happy about it. Some of the patch’s highlight features don’t provide enough of a change and still make it difficult for those playing at higher levels.

The news comes to Design Trend via responses in a “Clash Of Clans” update Reddit thread. Now that the stats of the revisions are fully revealed, many fans think that more changes should be made.

The hottest topic in the community these days is the addition of the Treasury. In previous sneak peeks, the development team at Supercell sold the feature as a loot war chest. It was advertised as the “safest place to save up bonus loot until you are ready to spend it.” The problem being, however, that its storage allotments are too low to be effective at that job.

The latest chart shows that each league level offers a boost of 10,000 to 20,000 resources as players progress. At its lowest, an unranked gamer can store 10,000 gold and 10,000 elixir in the Treasury. At most, those numbers climb to 360,000 of each resource. That might sound like a lot of loot from a numeric perspective, but, especially when the combatants are skilled, it doesn’t take long for that capacity to fill.

As such, the new “Clash Of Clans” play style essentially encourages taking out all Treasury loot as soon as it’s accumulated. As one user said, “Treasury numbers are unfortunately smaller than I expected,” which makes it “very difficult to play the game at higher town hall levels.” A similarly disgruntled fan fumed that the “Treasury is a joke.” “How is this helping me save for anything,” he asked.

All told, it seems that a portion of the community has decided that the Treasury isn’t the earth-shattering gameplay mechanic that Supercell originally made it out to be. In many ways, it’s a rebranding of the Clan Castle that previously served a similar purpose. One major difference, however, is that destroying castles offered attackers 5 percent of their contained loot. With the Treasury, that number has been decreased to three.

Those dissatisfied by the Treasury’s capacity have more or less resorted to not using it at all. Supercell has responded to the outcry by sharing a fan-made video that shows how the feature is best leveraged.

Interestingly enough, the Treasury was introduced from a similar sentiment of rancor. Following the release of the initial Town Hall 11 update, players were fuming about everything from personal break timers to loot farming. The most recent adjustments attempt to curb the latter issue.
