“Clash Of Clans'” Treasury update is coming soon, so Supercell has unleashed some detailed sneak peeks about the future patch. Recent posts explain the intricacies of Star Bonuses, the Treasury and more.
The news comes to Design Trend via posts on the game’s official forums, as well as from YouTube insider, TheAlvaro845. Both sources combine to offer the lowdown on the game’s fan-prompted patch.
Because it’s the central feature of the update, let’s first discuss the Treasury. To follow up on the previous cursory mechanic reveal, we now know that the new building specifically safeguards a portion of bonus loot and Star Bonus loot from being ransacked by opponents. The amount of resources that the Treasury can hold is uniquely tied to one’s Town Hall level and Clan Perks. In relation to Clan Perks, the perk for “war loot extra storage” has been removed entirely, only to be replaced by “Treasury extra storage.” The perk offers a lower percentage boost, but it’s offset because the standard Treasury allotments are higher.
To coincide with the new system, Clan Castles will no longer have visible loot storage containers on them. The Treasury essentially holds what those used to and more.
As mentioned, the Treasury is designed to hold Star Bonus loot among other benefits. From recent Spanish translations, we’ve learned how those Star Bonuses will be implemented. Players will be rewarded for earning five stars in multiplayer battles each day. A greater bonus is given to those in higher-level leagues, but the increases supposedly stop after Champion III.
The final member of the trio is the Loot Cart. Loot Carts appear in a player’s village after each defense, and they contain 20 percent of lost resources. However, these must be gathered quickly because only one cart can appear at a time. In the event of successive attacks, the Loot Cart that appears will always have the most loot possible. The only time it can’t be farmed is if Treasury resources are full.
Most elusive of all is a tease of a new troop that’s described as a “significant game changer” to the Town Hall 11 experience. It likely won’t be included in the Treasury update, but it might arrive shortly thereafter.
Supercell has officially projected a full arrival for the patch sometime next week. Short term delays could impact that time table slightly.
“Clash Of Clans'” Treasury update was born out of intense fan backlash against the loot farming policies of last month’s Town Hall 11 update. With new loot bonuses and ways to protect existing loot, the hope is that players will have an easier time maintaining the necessary resources to attack opponents.
