Supercell has announced there will be an update for Clash of Clans coming in the near future, and while the changes won’t necessarily fix the numerous issues Clash of Clans players have had with Supercell since the Clash of Clans Town Hall 11 update, it will tweak the in-game loot economy.
The introduction of the Loot Cart will be the biggest change Clash of Clans players will notice right off the bat. A percentage of the resources that a Clash of Clans player loses after having their village attacked will now be stored in the Loot Cart, meaning Clash of Clans players will be able to recoup some of their losses. Any resources collected from the Loot Cart will be placed in the treasury after a manual action from the Clash of Clans player.
Other additions include the Star Bonus, a new resource bonus which will be unlocked by winning five stars in multiplayer attacks over the course of a day, and the Treasury, which will automatically safeguard some of your resources — like the star and war loot bonus for example. Attackers will only be able to steal a small percent of the total loot stored in the Treasury, which will be located in the Clan Castle.
Supercell is adding these changes to Clash of Clans in hopes of placating their user base, who were none too happy with Supercell forcing them to move their Town Halls inside town walls for protection. Before, it was relatively easy to resource farm by sacrificing a Town Hall and netting an easy, free shield: Now, it’s much more difficult to save resources from being pillaged.
Supercell has refused to budge on the issue, which has led some Clash of Clans players to leave Clash of Clans. According to GottaBeMobile, some of the common gripes include everything costing way too much in the later levels, matchmaking devolving into large scale attacks that steal much of the loot players have managed to collect and the impossibility of resource farming after the update.
