Andy Barber all his life worked as an assistant district attorney in his suburban Massachusetts county. It is something like 20 years in the row.

Andy is well respected by society and сolleagues in the court, he loves his wife and fourteen-year-old son. With the Jacob and Laurie, Andy is really happy. In one moment his happiness gone away. On that day, Jacob is charged with the cruel murder of his schoolmate.

As a parent, Andy must protect his son. Moreover, he says that he is absolutely innocent. As the father Andy tries to believe him, but there some facts… Hi must judge his sun in the trial, his marriage can crumble. What he must choose in the end – the justice or the loyalty. Must he abandon the truth or his own son?

It is some sort of sad reading. It is not so much a thriller, but a psychological drama. The judicial affair – is very popular in the USA literature, where the court is a kind of theater or game, Sometimes there is more important not to not find the truth, but prove your own version of the case.
