Anders vanishes. He is a Marinas colleague so she must find out what is happening with him. On behalf of a pharmaceutical institute, she travels into the Brazilian jungle to learn about this mystery.

That is how a journey begins. Marina goes to the frontiers of science and myth, illusion and miracle. It is not an adventure in the jungle. It is more an adventure of the human soul.

The actual thread of the book hides somewhere between dream and reality, reflecting the conflict of the main character Marina Singh with herself, with her own history, current circumstances, and wishes.
