'Clash Of Clans' Supercell Slammed By Diehard Fans For Town Hall 11 Update ...

Clash Of Clans Town Hall 11

“Clash Of Clans'” Town Hall 11 update has caused community chaos, and now the game’s most dedicated streamers have expressed frustration about gameplay changes that make loot farming difficult. Supercell has yet to respond.

The news comes to Design Trend via the diehard Clash personality Chief Pat. Despite having a close relationship with the Finnish mobile developer, even he is starting to lose faith.

The crux of the issue lies in how town halls have changed since the December patch. As noted in Supercell’s prior sneak peeks, free shields are no longer offered when town halls are destroyed. This change essentially means that it’s no longer possible to sacrifice one to get a shield and farm for loot. Instead, a certain percentage of one’s base must be destroyed to earn shields of varying time increments.

With no easy way to stop attacks and collect resources, loot, which is essential to clan strength, becomes harder and harder to come by. For Pat’s clan specifically, loot farming takes 25 percent longer to accrue the same amount of goods. The wait is even longer for those leveled up to Town Hall 11.

However, this issue relates to more than just an increased time investment. It also makes resource upgrades much more difficult. Before the update, expensive upgrades cost as much as 8 million gold or 8 million elixir. This was all well and good when it was easy to accrue loot by placing town halls outside of a base, but now those benefits are allegedly nearly impossible to get.

This complaint is far from the first one levied against the Town Hall 11 update. Our past stories have covered pitfalls of the newly revised personal break timer. The reaction has been so heated that even Finland’s largest news source was forced to comment on it.

Yet, in the face of all this criticism, Supercell has remained silent. A few small adjustments have been made, but nothing has been done to address these glaring loot shortcomings. Negligence has lead to what Pat calls the “darkest time in ‘Clash Of Clans’ history.” “It feels like breaking up with a girlfriend who you’ve trusted for three years,” he says in his most recent video. “I’ve been mega let down by Supercell as a company.”

As for the cause of the communication delay, it might be the soft launch of a brand new spinoff game called “Clash Royale.” The project combines card-playing elements with real-time strategy mechanics first introduced in “Clash Of Clans.”

Chief Pat has commonly partnered with Supercell to premiere sneak peeks and other announcements. We’ll see if his statement prompts a response.
