Supercell has announced a one-time gem resource boost for Clash of Clans players following the much griped about Clash of Clans Town Hall 11 update. After a short maintenance break earlier today, the gem resource boost should be active now.
Also included with the one-time gem resource boost is a decision by Supercell to allow a 20-percent resource refund on all Clan donations for a limited period of time. This is on top of whatever donation refund percentage perk Clash of Clans players already receive as part of their clan level.
For example, if a Clash of Clans player with a clan level 8 already receives a 35-percent donation refund, then while the extra perk from Supercell is enabled, they should be getting a 55-percent refund on whatever donations they give out.
Donations also happens to be the main theme of Clash of Clans new commercial, a television ad featuring Christoph Waltz talking about the story of KoopaTroopa787, a Clash of Clans player who managed to donate over 500,000 troops in Clash of Clans over a single two-week period of time.
Looking for troop donations this holiday season? Check out @Koopatroopa787s livestream tomorrow amp; let him know!=gt; https://t.co/wv1G1OUJPG

This latest ad follows hot on the heels of another recent Clash of Clans commercial, which features late night TV host James Corden in addition to Christoph Waltz. In this ad, Cordon pretends Waltz is his father and asks Waltz for a bedtime story. Waltz regales Cordon with the story of The Legend of the Last Lava Pup.
This ad series from Supercell for Clash of Clans is called True Tales of Clash Achievery, and is all based on real stories that actually happened within Clash of Clans. Except of course, having Christoph Waltz makes everything much cooler.
